3 Steps to Finding Out How Many Code Changes You Are Missing

1) Find the year of the ICD-9 code book you are currently using.

2) Find your specialty.

3) This is the number of code changes you will get with the 2009 Edition.

For example, if you are using a 2005 ICD-9-CM and your specialty is Internal Medicine,

there there have been 797 changes to ICD-9 for that specialty since then.

All of those changes will be in the 2009 edition.
